I'm Abdelilah Amrani. I work in Moroccan tourism, build a few things around it, and write about what I learn along the way.
Most people just call me Abdel. “Abdel from Morocco” started as exactly what it sounds like: an easy way to identify myself online. It stuck.
I spend most of my working life somewhere between Moroccan roads, tourism operations and whatever problem has caught my attention lately. Sometimes the answer is to change how I work. Sometimes it turns into a project. So far, three of them have stuck, alongside the company behind Arhhal and Quick Morocco.

01 / Arhhal
My private Morocco travel business, and the one closest to me personally. Arhhal grew from working on the road and learning that good private travel needs judgment, flexibility and a proper understanding of how Morocco actually moves.

Shared Morocco tours and day trips, made deliberately easier to understand. After working around shared and group tourism, I became convinced that the product itself was often simpler than the way it was being presented and sold.

A network for Moroccan tourism professionals. It came from one repetitive problem: people asking me for drivers, guides, jobs, opportunities or somebody reliable to work with. Eventually, manually connecting everybody stopped being a sensible system.

I grew up around Kelaat M'Gouna in Morocco's Rose Valley, in a very small environment where most of my world was close to home. At around 18, I left for a three-month internship in Casablanca. Later came Ouarzazate, university, IT and business management, insurance, and eventually a fairly major change of direction.
